ADHD
You're Not Broken! You're Wired Differently
Living with ADHD as an adult often means masking, overcompensating, or internalising years of confusion. We help you step out of survival mode and into a life that’s built around how you actually work—not how you think you “should.”
Understanding More Than Just the Diagnosis
For many adults, receiving an ADHD diagnosis can be a moment of clarity—an explanation for years of frustration, self-doubt, and missed potential. But while a diagnosis can be validating, it’s rarely the final answer. In fact, it often raises new questions: Now what?
At Internally Free, we support adults who are navigating life with ADHD—whether you need support with navigating the route to a diagnosis, just been diagnosed or have known for years. We go beyond symptom management to help you understand how ADHD shows up in your life, in your patterns, and how you can work with your brain instead of fighting it.
The Reality of an Adult Diagnosis
Many adults expect the label to unlock instant solutions or provide a roadmap forward. The truth is, the diagnosis is just the beginning. That's where we come in.
What we focus on:
Understanding Your ADHD: Learn how it affects your thinking, behaviour, and habits—uniquely.
Reframing Your Story: Untangle self-blame and rewrite the narrative you've been living with.
Building Practical Tools: Develop systems for time management, organisation, procrastination, paralysis and help to just get things done!
Confidence & Clarity: Shift from shame to self-acceptance, with realistic strategies that stick!

ANXIETY
You Don’t Need to Just “Deal With It”
Anxiety can be exhausting and can show up in many ways - Constant worry or fear, Panic or racing thoughts, Negative thinking patterns, Critical self-talk, Catastrophising, Feeling on edge or restless, Avoiding certain situations or people, Reassurance-seeking. Procrastination or indecisiveness
You might look “together” on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or disconnected inside. Anxiety can often hide beneath: High achievement, People-pleasing & Chronic stress.
Does any of these describe you?
Yes - just so you know, it really is possible for life to change.
Our mentoring is a partnership. We help you stop fighting your mind and start working with it. That means dealing with the day-to-day weight of anxiety—not just coping. What’s missing isn’t willpower—it’s support that looks at the whole you.
What we focus on
Understanding Your Anxiety: Identify patterns, thought loops, and what fuels your internal pressure.
Managing Overwhelm: Break down tasks, responsibilities, and emotions into something you can actually handle.
Challenging Perfectionism: Learn to act without overthinking—and to rest without guilt.
Building Self-Trust: Make confident decisions and let go of the fear of “getting it wrong.”

BURNOUT
Reclaiming Your Energy, One Step at a Time
You’re getting things done, keeping up appearances, handling responsibilities—but underneath, you're overwhelmed. The stress is constant. Your mind won’t switch off. You’re running on autopilot, and the joy, clarity, and motivation you used to feel are nowhere to be found.
We live in a culture that glorifies being busy and self-sacrificing. But you are allowed to rest. To ask for help. To stop holding it all together for everyone else and start caring for yourself, too.
Our mentoring isn’t about perfection. We help you step out of survival mode and rebuild a life that actually supports your wellbeing.
Burnout vs. Stress: What’s the Difference?
Stress is when you’re overloaded but still believe relief is possible.
Burnout is what happens when the stress becomes chronic—when rest no longer helps, and motivation turns into numbness or resentment.
Both are real. Both take a toll. And both are signals—not failures—that something needs to change.
What we focus on
Understanding the Root Causes: Identifying what's driving your stress and burnout—not just managing the symptoms.
Creating Breathing Room: Building practical tools to reduce overwhelm and reintroduce calm.
Boundary-Setting & Saying No: Learning to protect your energy and time without guilt.
Restoring Self-Trust: Reconnecting with your intuition, energy, and sense of control.
Preventing the Spiral: Developing habits that keep burnout from coming back.

TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS
Reclaiming Your Voice
You feel responsible for other people’s emotions. You constantly doubt your own judgment. You’re afraid to speak up, say no, or take up space. You feel drained in relationships, but struggle to step away. You’ve been called "too sensitive," "overreactive," or "difficult"—for simply expressing your needs.
These are often the long-term effects of manipulation, narcissistic abuse, or being stuck in patterns of codependency. They can leave you feeling disoriented, small, and unsure of who you really are.
Healing Starts With Understanding—Not Self-Blame
You didn’t get here overnight. These patterns often begin early, or are reinforced over time by parents, siblings, partners, colleagues, or friends who erode your self-trust. The good news? Healing is possible—and it doesn’t require you to have all the answers before you begin.
You’re allowed to take up space!
This isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about coming home to who you really are.
Together, we focus on:
Recognising Manipulation & Gaslighting: Learning to trust your own reality again.
Setting Boundaries That Hold: Practicing “no” without apology—and without the guilt spiral.
Breaking People-Pleasing Patterns: Understanding where they came from and how to change them.
Rebuilding Self-Worth: Separating your value from others’ approval or expectations.
Moving from Survival to Self-Leadership: Creating a life that reflects your needs, not just others’.

DEPRESSION
When life feels like too much
You may have spent years hiding how bad it gets. You might feel like you should be doing better, or that asking for help is a burden. It’s not. Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Depression can feel heavy and isolating, making even the simplest tasks seem overwhelming. You may find yourself caught in cycles of self-criticism, withdrawing from others, feeling like a burden to others or wondering if things will ever feel different and when those dark thoughts creep in—the ones you don’t want to say out loud—it can feel like you’re completely alone.
Please know that what you’re feeling is valid, and it’s okay to reach out. Our mentoring offers to find small, manageable ways forward. You don’t have to carry this alone — support is here.
You're not failing. You're struggling—and that deserves care.
If you're in crisis or need immediate support, please reach out to a mental health professional or crisis lines (see our resources page). You're not alone— help is out there.
Together, we focus on:
Understanding the Fog: Exploring how depression affects your energy, motivation, and self-perception.
Reducing Isolation: Offering steady, real human connection when everything feels distant or flat.
Creating Gentle Structure: Building realistic routines that don’t overwhelm you.
Navigating Suicidal Thoughts: Talking openly—without shame or fear—about the dark places your mind goes, and how to come back from them safely.
